Art Club Expectations and Mission:

  • Attendance Commitment: The Art Club meets every Friday after School from 3:30-4:30.  If you are accepted you must commit to attending Art Club every week.  If you miss Art Club for 3 or more weeks (unexcused) your spot will given to another student artist.
  • Academic Standing: Students with NPs or outstanding behavior contracts will be considered on a discretionary basis for a spot in the Art Club.
  • Student Led Structure:  Art Club will offer students a unique opportunity to create artworks in a small-group setting, where students will have the flexibility to design and produce their own projects, work in groups, and grow as artists.
  • Bring Art To RMMS!: Student Artists will be creating numerous community based artworks, to beautify the school and community.
  • Art In The Community: Student Artists will have the opportunity to attend off-campus art events and trips to places like studios, galleries, and museums.

What is Art Club ?

RMMS Art Club is a small group of dedicated 6th-8th grade Student Artists, who meet once a week on Friday afternoons from 3:30-4:30.

During this time we will be creating different artworks of varying styles and media, developing our artistic craft, and building artistic confidence alongside a small group of peers.

All students went through an application process, and a few students were invited to join the group.

Due to Art Club functioning as an enrichment activity, we do not currently have our own budget. We are accepting donations of supplies, snacks, and T-Shirts for the student artists. We also greatly appreciate any donations of supplies, or snacks (for 20 students).

If you have any questions about the Art Club or donation process, please feel free to contact Ms. Gaechter at sgaechter@laalliance.org.

Thank you for your support of the RMMS Art Club!

Gaechter a sgaechter@laalliance.org.
